Long-distance move from Olympia, WA to Columbus, OH

SCAM

My mother's items were picked up by these guys (who were a subcontractor of the hired company). It's been in their possession for about 6 weeks and we still don't have any clue where her stuff is. She received a handful of items and they are trashed-- not just scratched, trashed. That's after paying $6,200. Don't use this company or All Pro Moving Co, which seems to be their new name (same phone number). I also wouldn't hire a moving company unless you KNOW who the contracted companies will be.

Big move from TX to CA - made it nice and easy.

We called many moving companies for quotes and United Relocation gave us by far the best price. US Movers (contracted packers) arrived on the earliest scheduled day and I was happy to hand the whole process to them. I am very grateful to Kevian (the packers driver in Dallas, TX) who said - now you can just take a break and we'll take care of everything. And they did. They packed all loose items, took apart and diligently wrapped all furniture (including the bolts, nuts, and washers), paintings and big frames, numbered each box and each article with a numeric sticker, re-taped all boxes and after they finished they cleaned up! Everything arrived to CA intact!
They even moved my Makita drill set from the box on which I unambiguously wrote "drill" into a wheeled cooler which was much safer. Good thinking!
Moti (the US Movers delivery driver in CA) had to navigate his semi-truck in reverse to get to my house on a pretty challenging dead end street with bunch of construction trucks parked along it. He saved me a lot of money by getting his 18 wheeler right next to my house. Many thanks, Moti!
When I contacted Lisa in Customer Service with questions - the response was always prompt, courteous and helpful.
I highly recommend this company and just want to say THANK YOU for making our big move from TX to CA easy and nice!

Sergey,

Thank you for the honest and detailed review! We're happy everything went smoothly for you. You were patient and easy to work with throughout the process. After delivery you mentioned that a briefcase was missing. We had the movers looking for it diligently, but then you notified us it was in the last box you unpacked days later. We were happy you found it because the movers weren't having any luck finding it.

Best to you and your family,

Long-distance move from Charlotte, NC to Nashville, TN

Worst nightmare : move with united relocation at your own risk.

The reason we are giving one is as we can't give it in a negative or minus star.Let me tell you that this was the most frustrating move I had so far as I keep moving almost every 6 months or a year.
1. At the time of booking, they told that they can hold luggage for 30 days whereas Jeremy from Metro relocation threatened me that If I don't take delivery by 7/7, they will not deliver anything in future and he was shouting that storage is not free and he charged me $300 extra and he said that he will not deliver if I don't pay this additional amount. So this entire move costed me 2246 whereas quote was 1946.

2. The pick up guys didn't pack anything and they used the same boxes which we prepared with intention of helping them to make it faster. They just packed as it's without proper fulling the box and whey they are about to move 20 boxes, they said they can't accommodate anything more which is really surprising. As you remember, we discussed during the booking that they can adjust 5-10 more boxes as we can't give exact estimate during placing the order. As a result, I had a lot of stuff which I had to dispose off. They told me they wont even take lamps as they were not mentioned in the list. Do I need to inform you about 2000 plus items I own ? Is not that common sense?

3. It was subcontracted to some Metro relocation and they are so arrogant, stubborn and impolite to talk to the customer. As per this quote, I was given two days as move-date out of which second day was for buffer for move however I was not informed until Saturday 06/30 that they will move on 2nd day (2nd July). When the lady contacted me on that fateful Saturday, she told that they wont be coming before afternoon on Monday. When I expressed my concern that its late she said that is when they are coming , do you want me to cancel your order ( the tone was of a threat)? That was the start of the constant harassment of us as customers. And on 2nd July, They told that they can come after only late evening so its better let them come on Tuesday. We told that we can not delay the move after two days delay so they turned up at 8:30 pm which is quite late.

4. They did not wrapped the glass items and just dumped the stuff like a novice. So that they could charge more money by adding boxes but as they came late at night and were in a hurry to leave they just were not even ready to pick the entire stuff although we told them we will pay extra. This whole move was a harassment we were charged, overcharged, threatened, rudely dealt with at every step. They kept our stuff as a ransom and threatened if we do not get the delivery the time and day of their choice(although the contract had 30 days free storage) and threatened we might have to pick the stuff from Atlanta if we do not take it on Saturday. When we finally arranged they did not even bothered to call us( although was trying to reach them and told them just give us a call when you are 30 min away. Is that asking too much? As they wanted to put waiting charged as well. Looks like robbers and thugs are running this business. They charged us $300 for keeping the stuff for three days although they had in the contract that we can store for 30 days.

5. They came to deliver the stuff also at night and when we told that one entire box is missing they said we need to talk to metro relocation which again have subcontracted to some random guys and the truck on which they came didn't belonged to metro. So my stuff changed hands thrice.

Long-distance move from Pittsburgh, PA to Jacksonville, FL

Awesome Experience.

My family and I moved from Pittsburgh to Jacksonville. We had a four bedroom home and needed a full service pack and a storage unit taken as well. My phone was ringing off the hook from different companies promising the world but what sold me with United was their honesty. They walked me through the entire process without sugar coated cost or common issues. The price was fair, the packing was professional and the delivery was fast. They were phenomenal and im so happy that we chose this company.

My move experience.

I went with United this year for my move from New York to North Carolina. I was wary about outsourcing the move at first after reading reviews from several companies, but the people at United left me feeling assured that my items would be transported safely, with any additional hidden fees. All in all the move went smoothly, the movers were a few hours late for arrival, and the delivery took a little longer than I thought but everything arrived as promised! I'd recommend United again.

Long-distance move from Memphis, TN to Baltimore, MD

Just a broker-find a MOVER!

Twelve hours after scheduling the movers, we tried to cancel. They held it out until 72 hours. The day after we scheduled, we received a call from a "Quality Assurance" employee. When we discovered that quality was not assured, we requested to cancel. Cameron (QA guy) said he would send it to the cancellation department and recommend we receive a full refund. To be clear, they estimated a certain amount. Cameron disclosed they would probably have to charge us another two grand. We explained we really didn't have another two grand to put toward this move, we requested a refund and cancellation (within 12-24 hours of scheduling). He was persistant about us not cancelling and after standing our ground, Cameron still told us to "sleep on it" and we would talk the next day. That next day came and we spoke to Cameron. We explained to him that we really didn't feel comfortable putting ourselves in a position of POSSIBLY owing them another two grand, while they hold our stuff hostage. He became a bit hostile & condescending, trying to bully or manipulate us into staying. We made it clear we still needed to cancel. The next day, after an entire day of waiting, we had to call to be told (by Andrew, found out after the whole thing-he's actually the OWNER) we would only be receiving less than half of the deposit back as a refund and we should consider it a "gift." After being screamed at, berated, and told I should be glad he didn't tell us to "f-off", we offered to allow them to keep more than 15% of the deposit but not 50%. Andrew was suppose to call us back the following morning (after he told us he needed to speak to the "owners") at ten but we weren't called until mid afternoon after we called them. No worries, except when Doug (who said he a coworker-was actually the other OWNER & is named Dirk, not Doug) lied & said Andrew hadn't been in all morning, he proceeded to be condescending and nasty to us; telling us this was "non negotiable" and we could take what we're being given and be happy with it or we can leave it. Cancellation tried to be done within 24 hours of scheduling. They were aware of our possible cancellation Saturday morning (less than 12 hours after scheduling) and somehow managed to (as Andrew put it) "disperse all of the funds" in that timeframe. After more digging, turns out Andrew and Dirk (not Doug) are the OWNERS and they've changed their name a few times to hide the bad reviews. The actual mover called us on Wednesday to confirm our move. We explained we had cancelled the move and he apologized. We asked when he was hired and he said he received an "availability request" Friday afternoon/evening and an UPDATED PACKING LIST on Monday (which was after we cancelled for the third time!). We asked when he received the money and how much, he said that wasn't how it worked. After he confirms availability, they send a packing list. When he shows up for the job, WE pay him some money. When he delivers our stuff, WE pay him the rest. He said the "deposit" we pay is just for the "Brokers". Even more sketchy, we had originally requested Budget Van Lines help and were referred to this "company", United Relocation, LLC. We called them on Wednesday to let them know the people they referred us to were scammers and to tell them to take UR off their referral list. They looked our information up in their system and said they don't have anything on us. When we forwarded the email we received from them, they confirmed that they NEVER sent that email. No one knows where it came from.

Official company response

Mr. Gillespie,
This review is far from the truth of events that occurred and we are saddened to see this review from you. You reserved your move on 8/17/2018 for a requested pick up window of 8/22-8/23. Most clients book their move over 30 days in advance so when you reserved with us last minute it is our job to ensure your pick up dates and coordinate everything properly. We received your verbal cancellation notice on 8/20 and our General Manager Andrew (Not the owner, more than 1 person can have the same name) contacted you about a refund. After reviewing this with ownership we offered you over 50% of your down deposit back. After presenting our offer, your wife berated us using curse-words threatening lawyers, BBB, many other repercussions and using negative reviews as leverage to pay you move money. We are not obligated to compensate at all due to a late cancellation, but we are here to move you and not keep your money. Our offer was fair and significant. The reason it is not a full refund is due to processing fee's, and the "Dry run" for the truck in route to you which will not be able to find another move last minute. It's unfortunate we couldn't come to an agreement and you are now going to the extent to lie about your experience with us and slander our company.
Our Quality Assurance department reaches out to every client, days before their move, to ensure the items list is accurate so that no surprises will happen during the pick up. You even told us during the quality assurance call that when setting your move up you told our moving coordinator less items then your 2 previous quotes to get a better rate. When more items are added there has to be a price increase due to more labor involved, space on a truck, fuel, etc.. We would've been happy to complete the move you contracted us for with the items mentioned.
We hope you were able to get relocated safely. Please contact us if you need anything moving forward.

Management

Long-distance move from Denver, CO to Austin, TX

Incompetent Rip Off.

Like other reviewers have said United Relocation isn't even worth one star. The issues started a few days before our scheduled move. We received a call that the movers were worried that they would have enough time to pack and load all of our things. We told them they could start early if need be. Two days before the move we received a second call informing us that they had our move dates scheduled later than what we had set up over a month earlier. On move day the they finally showed by, four hours late, never a phone call to inform us that they were running behind. Upon arrival were were told that they never revived the large item inventory that we email them, they didn't know that they were supposed to move three motorcycles, they didn't know they were supposed to do packing, the truck they brought wouldn't not be big enough and to top it all off our move price was going to go from an estimate of $5800 to $15000! Multiple attempts to contact their sorry excuse for "customer service" were met with "we can take your contact info and have someone call you back." So not only was there no representative or manager or anyone to talk to to help fix this HUGE issue, there was of course never anyone who returned our calls. Luckily the truck hadn't been loaded yet. We told to movers to unwrap the furniture they had started with and leave. Luckily for us again we have another week before we must be out of our house so I've been able to make other moving arrangements. This was enough of a nightmare as is, I can't even imagine what we would have done if this had happened right before the house had to be clear.

2 Thumbs Up.

My family had a last minute cancellation with another moving company on a move we booked months in advance. Needless to say this threw a huge monkey wrench in our plans, my wife was freaking out and I had plans with deadlines already in place. I called United Relocation off a referral. They worked diligently to help get us moved on such short notice.. the movers arrrived and things went quite well.(My wife had me kicking myself for not booking with United originally). All in all 5 stars ⭐️ for saving us when we were in a pinch.
Thanks again United Relocation!

The Worst Moving Company & Experience.

We had to make an inter state move and unfortunately approached this moving company. Right from giving an incorrect estimate to providing wrong information the moving associate was wrong in every way. The carrier they allocated to us was pathetic. They demand and corner you into paying them more than what was estimated. My washer/dryer was damaged and they don't even own the responsibility but give a website to lodge a complaint for claim. I am following up with them and not sure if they will compensate. My experiences were so bad that I could not even detail those. Never ever choose this company for the move. If I could I would not even give them a single star.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3284

Official company response

Hello Mr Moin,
We are sorry to hear the frustration you've been dealing with. We understand you did have some damaged items and we have provided the claims information so you can get compensation for this. It is your right as a customer and you are owed money for the damaged items. If you are having issues submitting your claims please call us and we can walk you through this process. There were additional charges with your move. After your items were picked up you changed the delivery address from Tennessee to Texas. The truck you were on wasn't on that specific route and the shipping cost to get your items there did justify a price increase. We are sorry if this wasn't communicated to you properly.
Please call us if you need anything moving forward. (866) 428-9279

My dresser, bookshelf, and TV all showed up broken.

I contracted with United Relocation to move from North Carolina to California. My dresser, bookshelf and TV all showed up broken. I even paid them an extra $75 fee to package my TV. They are not helpful with reimbursement and they only reimburse 10 cents a pound. They told me my things would take about a week and half when really it took 3 weeks to receive my items. The total cost exceeded my estimate by several hundred dollars. Overall, they were disorganized, unhelpful, and ended up braking a lot of important items to me. I wish I hadn't shipped with United Relocation.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2000

Official company response

Hello Mark,
We're saddened to hear you incurred some damages during your move. The insurance included in your move is more then 10 cents/lb and if you haven't processed your claims properly we will be happy to walk you through it. For your move of approximately 2600 miles across the country, delivery time-frames are anywhere between 6-21 business days. It seems the movers delivered within your time period but the expectations you had were different. If you aren't happy with the compensation offer you received for claims than please contact our management team to see if we can help make this right from our end.
Thank you,

Long-distance move from Wake Forest, NC to Dallas, TX

Worst experience ever!

I hired United Relocation to move my son's furniture from NC to Dallas. I was told my furniture would be delivered on or around August 4th. Our belongings were picked up at 9pm on July 19th buy HQ Movers who were subcontracted out by United Relocation. Once they got the stuff outside my home, they put me on the phone with Daniel from H Q Movers who proceeded to try to charge me an extra 800.00 for space on truck. My item total never changed since I booked the job. No reason to pay more. We waited and called and texted and emailed to try to get a delivery date once our expected delivery date came and went. Each week we were told our items would be loaded the coming week. Today is day 49 since they stole our furniture and they never ever delivered. My son went an entire month with just an air mattress. We've now had to rent him furniture since we now know we've been victims of mover fraud. Do not do business with this company. Save yourself lots of aggravation and find a real company.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1750

Official company response

Lisa,
We set your move up around the specific schedule you required to be delivered on or around August 4th. When the mover's arrived the customer has to fill out paperwork and one of the questions is "When is your first available delivery date?". Before the pick up we guided you how to fill this out properly. Since the date written down was August 4th your delivery time frames starts from then. The delivery spread was 6-21 business days. We recommended you put down the next day after you were picked up in July. If this hadn't of happened the items would've arrived on or around August 4th. We understand everyone makes mistakes and because of the frustration you've endured since then we offered to refund your full deposit which for some reason wasn't accepted by you.. Our General Manager has been aware of your move for weeks and has been in constant contact with you. Your items are NOT stolen! Your items are safe and we are currently bringing everything back to the pick up location as you requested. Please call our customer service department if you need anything going forward.

Awesome service.

Used United Relocation LLC to transport my vehicle from West Palm Beach, FL to Goshen, NY. The process was clear and everyone I dealt with was friendly and efficient. Driver was great, he notified me of a nail in my tire I hadn't noticed upon pickup. My car arrived in perfect condition and they were very fair with the price. No hidden fees and I was very happy with the entire process. Would definitely use them again!

Worst Move Ever!

These people will tell you anything to get your deposit then make you sign that there is no refund possible, even when they default on the agreement.

After I signed, they failed to meet the contractual pick-up date then rescheduled it over 3 weeks later, told me I did not have to be present for the movers to pick up my things out of storage but that turned out to be completely false. They agreed to compensate me for the extra storage charges because they were late, then refused to pay. They lied repeatedly, and the pick up ended up being over 6 weeks after the original date they agreed to - all their fault.
Worst moving company I have ever worked with and would never refer then to anyone.

Worst company I've ever worked with.

This company has given me the absolute worst experience I've ever had with any company. Today I finally received my shipment after 8 MONTHS,yes that's right 8 months. I contracted for a move across country and was taken by East Coast van lines to Florida where it sat from April until November. Only upon demanding that another company take my belongings and a law suit threat did I finally today receive my shipment.. On two pallets that I had to unload myself off the street where it was left..with 1/3 of my items missing. Not surprising the items missing are some of the more valuable as the belongings did not show up in their original boxes. Got my address wrong after all this time so had to pay $60 change of address fee to deliver. I've been told multiple times by staff the GM Andrew would call me the next day and it never happens. To get in touch I have to call his number directly and catch a the right time. Do not use this company.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2500

Official company response

Hello Devin,
We are saddened to see this review. During the "8 Months" you were waiting for your items they were being held in storage, a request made by you.. Once you scheduled the delivery it did take about a month to get your item's across the country. We have been in communication with you this entire time and have tried to help mediate all issues between you and the carrier. Additionally because of the late delivery the carrier waived the entire delivery balance and you got 50% off your move. They were not obligated to compensate you in such a large amount, but because you were so unsatisfied they went over and beyond to make the situation right.
We're sorry you had such a bad experience. If there is anything else we can do please let us know.

Long-distance move from Scottsdale, AZ to Hudson, WI

Unethical & Horrible Company.

I hired United Relocation after four quotes and reviewing all. The young lady I initially spoke with made me feel confident and comfortable in making the choice to go with United Relocation. It has been nothing but a sheer nightmare from when they arrived to my location to now and the nightmare is far from over. They showed up an hour and a half late, big deal.. BUT THEN upon arrival, they went through and reviewed their inventory list confirming the items to be picked up. The man who wore a 500move T-shirt (odd since he "worked for United Relocation) stated his boss said it would be an additional $800. I asked for what and how is that possible if no items had even been moved onto the truck. I asked to speak with his boss who stated he worked for United Relocation (which was later confirmed by United Relocation), and that the lowest he could go was $600. I said that wouldn't work and he said okay they will leave, leaving me with no choice but to agree, as I was leaving two days later to drive from Arizona to Wisconsin. He said sign here and we'll begin packing the vehicle. That was 11/26/2018. I have yet to receive my items. Not to mention, numerous calls only to receive one call back with a voicemail. Additionally, I told them about the ridiculous price addition in which they claimed I should have called their customer service number. I responded with, "Do the people who came to my house and I spoke on the phone with, work for you?" She responded, "Yes." So I did speak with your company who up-charged me last minute and.. silence one the other end of the line. Next item, I told them the pick up and drop off would NOT be a location where a semi could access. Not a problem she stated.. I received a call today from a BROKER who stated the job was sold to them by United Relocation hence why they are moving my items around and that he was bringing them in a semi. If he isn't able to get close enough to the front door, I would be charged an unloading fee of $300. He went on to tell me about how X,Y and Z trucks continued to break down and that's why it's taking so long. As a paying customer, that isn't my problem nor do I think you could share that with the client. The more and more I see in the past couple weeks are horrific reviews and damaged item photos and missing items. I am simply sick about how my items are going to look upon delivery. I am not one to seem to have problems with contractors that are hired for needed tasks, but this company is absolutely disgraceful, unprofessional and untruthful. Please I WRITE THIS REVIEW FOR ANYONE ENTERTAINING HIRING THEM, DO NOT. You will be such a mess and sick over the broken and terrible process and experience. To be continued.. I will provide photos of any damaged material. Thankfully I numbered all my boxes.. we'll see if they all make it.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2300

Official company response

Hello Ashley,
It's saddening to hear your disappoint with the move. We are a broker and do not try to hide this whatsoever. The carrier's we use to facilitate our move's we have used for years and they are fully capable of giving our customer's a quality move. If issues do arise we try to step in and fix any problems immediately with the customer's best interest in mind. Leading up to your move date we go over the item's list multiple times to ensure we have everything as accurate as possible. Unfortunately when there are item's not mentioned to us and you wish to transport them there has to be an increase in price due to the extra space needed & more labor. Yes, sometime item's can be delivered in a semi-truck and if one cannot get to your delivery location then a shuttle truck is needed. Being that the mover's have to load/unload again with the shuttle & also rent the shuttle truck there is a $300.00 fee involved. This is standard with any moving company and we apologize if this wasn't communicated properly to you.
Regardless, we would like to try and fix your issues the best we can. Please call us so we can try to make this right.
Thank you,
-United Relocation Team.

My moving experience.

I have to say my overall move with United was very good. I’ve used multiple movers in the past and had horrible experiences. I had to make a sudden move due to my employment so I didn’t have much time to make a decision but I was very skeptical and asked as many questions as possible before making my decision. I chose United mainly because the representative I worked with was patient and took the most time with me. Pick-up and drop-off went well, the movers weren’t as careful as I would have been but there were no major damages whatsoever. I usually do not write reviews but I figured because of my experiences in the past United Relocation deserved a good review. If any friends or family members ask for a mover I will definitely be recommending United Relocation.

Worst Ever !!

I wouldn't ever recommend this company for anything. I had a storage unit in upstate NY moving to south Fla. The salesman was very polite and nice on the phone when making your quote. I paid the deposit and singed the paperwork. I arrived in NY and I was given a 2 day window for pickup. The first day went by didn't hear anything. So the next day I still didn't hear anything. Called customer service to find out what time they will be arriving. The woman on the other end of the phone said she would get back to me. She contacted me later in the day and told me that it might be later that day around 2 pm or the next day. I told her I had to be out and that I had to be today. She said let me see what I can do. She then calls me at 2 pm telling me it was going to be the next day between 9-11 am. I got really upset and she had that I don't really care attitude. So we had a yelling match which really didn't do anything to help the situation. I told her I want to speak to her boss and she was really rude to me after that. I told her that I don't ever want to speak to her again don't call my phone! so this guy named Andrew I believe his name was first of all tells me I am an angry person. I told him that he messed up all my plans . I had to stay in NY for another day pay for 2 hotel rooms , another day on a rental car . He acted like oh well it isn't a big deal to them.
The next day I was at the storage unit waiting for them to arrive. I got a call from the driver telling me it wasn't going to arrive until after 3 pm that day. I was really mad !! There was nothing I could do just sit and wait. They finally arrive and start removing things from the storage unit and wrapping my antique furniture in their nasty torn moving blankets. They charged me $125.00 to use their crappy blankets. They start loading the stuff stop about half way through and tell me its going to be an extra $500.00 because it is taking up more space in their box truck. I got extremely pissed off! told them to take it all out of their truck put it back into the storage unit! I screamed to no avail. I finally paid the extra money had no choice because I had to be out of the storage unit that day. All this company does is subcontract to the lowest guys out there. and when there's a problem you can't get a hold of anyone , and if you do they are rude to you. I tried calling and texting my salesman several times and he wouldn't return calls or anything. With the total of what I had to pay out additional the hotel rooms and the car it cost me and extra $1000.00. They are the worst!! Giving you fair warning not to use them .

Official company response

Hello Jim,
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear your not happy with the moving experience. While setting up the move we try to recommend to each client not to reserve the move last minute. This way client's have an extra day to clean the house before leaving, do a last minute walk through and if there is a delay with the move it won't mess up any scheduling. The mover's were running 1 day behind schedule and we went to notify you about the delay. You stated you were upset because this messed up the brown's football game even though the browns game was a few days. When we told you the delay you berated multiple customer service agents. We understand how you can be upset and are empathetic towards your situation. This isn't the first time we've had angry customer's, but when a customer is extremely abusive it is difficult to have a conversation about resolving the issue. Sometimes issue's can happen during a move and we try to rectify them the best we can with each customer's best interest in mind. Unfortunately we couldn't have the truck arrive any faster and they picked your item's up 1 day late.
Please call us if your ready to have a normal conversation. We can resolve this further within reason.

Long-distance move from Colorado to Florida

Long distance move.

I hired United Relocation to move half my house across the country and the other half was going into storage. I have to say I am pretty happy with their service so far. The first move was completed and I’ll have to wait a few more months to get the items from storage. The only thing that didn’t go as planned was that they showed up 2 hours late on pick up. They supposedly got held up on another move prior to mine, however they did contact me to keep me updated. The movers worked hard, my furniture was wrapped nicely and everything was in 1 piece when I received the delivery. I was able to reach them when needed and Customer service did well. I’d use them again. Thanks United!

Long-distance move from Denver, CO to Tuscaloosa, AL

Move to Alabama.

I had such a great experience with united that I asked where I could leave a review for their exceptional service in helping me make my cross country move from Colorado to Alabama. I had a nightmare experience on my last move , so much so that I was contemplating moving myself. However, united made the process an easy transitition. Having a direct line to reach my agent was so helpful than having to press through 1-800 prompts. Thanks united! Will recommend to friends and family.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1800

Official company response

Thanks for sharing your experience Mary! Were very pleased to hear everything went well and your a happy customer. Moving can be extremely stressful, complicated, expensive and can bring on emotions of anxiety and fear. After having a horrible move previously it's hard to build that trust again with a new company, but we're happy you took a chance with us and we didn't disappoint.
Thank you,

Long-distance move from Woodbridge, VA to Lake Worth, FL

Move from Virginia to Florida.

I had to book a last minute move from VA to FL due to a family emergency. From the beginning of my experience they were able to help me through the process and put a little ease to my stressful situation. I was able to get in touch with someone through out my entire move whenever I had questions or concerns that came up. From the time that the movers arrived to delivery they had full communication with me through out the process. They did arrive a little late for pick up, but I was able to work around it since the driver made me aware of the delay. I am over all very pleased with this company and would recommend them to anyone that is currently moving.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3200

Official company response

Jessica, Thanks for sharing your experience. Communication is key to a successful move and every customer should be able to reach a live agent at all times! Very happy to hear everything went well!

Local move within California

Unprofessional scam artist.

I started looking to move from California to Georgia in January 2018 when I came across this company. After talking to a few different people decided to trust my move with United Relocation. I paid the deposit in March and they were suppose to come pick up my things on June 28th. I received a call on Sunday June 24th staying they needed the final count of what was being moved. I have them an updated count and was told I needed to pay another $1000 toward my deposit. I was then told since the person who initially provided my quote was so far off on the weights, and because I was unconvinced I would not have to pay anything more at pickup. It is in thecontact that you pay 1/2 of the remaining balance at pickup and the rest at delivery. So I figured they were trying to work with me. Then I was told I would get another call on Tuesday to make sure nothing has changed. Tuesday the 26th came and went. I called the company on Wednesday the 27th stating I had my final count and was then placed on hold for over 30 minutes. When someonecame back to the phone I was then told it was to late to make any changes but not to worry because they have requested weight tickets. I was then assured a truck would be at my house between 9am and 1pm on the 28th. At 1pm I called for the ETA (estimated time of arrival) and was put on hold another 30 minutes. When the operator returned I was informed a truck was not scheduled to come but they will have me on the schedule for June 29th. Again I June 29th no truck arrived. I was told they could not get someone out but would have someone come on July 1st. By this time I'm frustrated because all of my things are packed and ready sitting in the living room. No truck on July 1st, but this time I received a call saying there was no more room on the truck. The driver then said he would be at my house no later than noon on July 3rd. Again I waited, but when the driver called he asked If I had the $1500 (1/2 of the remainder balance due) I informed the driver of the arrangement and was told he will not come if I don't pay. I then called the company back once more. They apologized for the inconvenience, but although the representative whom I spoke to admitted to making this arrangement with me they can not honor it. At this point I had had enough. I then cancelled and did the move myself. After cancelling they refused to refund my money. These people are a bunch of crooks. My move was delayed at no fault of my own and they refuse to take any responsibility. Than I was asked to sign a letter staying I will not give them a bad reviewand that I won't go to my bank to get a refund. It's safe to say I never signed the letter and received a FULL REFUND from my bank. I would not trust United Relocation to feed my fish nor recommend them with something as important as moving your personal belongings.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4800

Official company response

Hello Mikata,
This is an unfair review. We originally reserved your move in March, 18 for a move during the summer. As we approached your move dates our Quality Assurance Dept. reached out to you to go back over the item's list for your move. We originally had you moving 47 items with an estimated volume of 2864 lbs. (409 cf.). After the revision we had you moving 83 items with a volume of 5108 lbs. (730 cf.). You essentially doubled your move. There was a justified price increase due to the additional item's moving and work involved. You signed off on the revision and we set the move up. Being that the move increased by double the mover's did arrive a day later than anticipated. We communicated this to you ahead of time so you can plan accordingly. The reason the move wasn't picked up is because you didn't have sufficient funds for the pick up payments. You asked us to pay in full for you and you would pay us back at some point. We weren't able to get the full amount authorized last minute. If we had known the payment was going to be an issue ahead of time it's possible we could've worked something out. Additionally, we did send you a resolution email (7/6) offering you a large refund. You never replied back. It's unfortunate we couldn't move you after setting everything up as requested.. Feel free to call us if you have questions or need anything moving forward. (866) 428-9279
Thanks,

Long-distance move from Sacramento, CA to Woodbridge, VA

Move from CA to VA.

Iused this company to help me move from California to Virginia. This is my first long distance move and I was very stressed and overwhelmed by the entire thing. Once I got into contact with United Relocation they immediately put my mind at ease by walking me through the entire process. The day of my move the movers did arrive one day late, but it actually worked out for me in the end since I had an extra day to prepare everything on my end. Once they arrived the movers were very quick at loading the truck and had me on my way to travel to Virginia. Once they were at my delivery spot, it went pretty good there also. but they helped me place my items in the rooms I needed them. I would highly recommend this company to friends and family.

Long-distance move from Fredericksburg, VA to Hamilton, TX

Move from Virginia to Texas.

United Relocation movers help move my 4 bedroom home to Texas from Virginia. They helped with a few boxes left in my kitchen, and helped with me TV’s. All of the movers were fast, friendly, professional, and extremely careful. They did charge me for steps, but I forgot to mention before hand. Overall I am really satisfied. This was a pretty big move for us and I felt total comfort in them caring for my belongings. I knew I could reach United Relocations at any time with any questions I had.

Fraud fraud fraud.

I hired this company for moving my stuff. As soon as they receive your deposit they will be disappear and never respond to any phone. After you have a two option first give up your deposit money or except any day they choose to move your stuff avoid avoid avoid this company. They stole my money $2079 .Make sure I have everything on writing and don’t trust the verbal conversation.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $10500

Official company response

Hello Saeed,
This is your 3rd negative review on this 1 website. It is not fair that a single customer can post multiple negative reviews. We've had this issue before and that is why we are flagged on our homepage. You contracted us to move your household on very short notice. Within 2 days of your pick up you decided to cancel and go with another company. When a customer reserves their move last minute it is our job to scramble and ensure we arrive on the dates requested prepared to complete your move. At this point we had everything set up and a truck in route to you with a lot of space reserved. You did have a large move. Our General Manager reached out to you immediately after you told customer service you wished to cancel. You never gave us an opportunity to resolve your issues and you hung up on our GM. Since that date you have posted multiple complaints online, disputed charges, etc.. Now 2 months later you are calling back because your bank did not authorize the dispute in your favor. We in fact did offer you a resolution after you slandered us online and didn't give us a chance to rectify your issues. The refund offer was larger than $200.00. You decided to decline the offer. It's unfortunate we couldn't come to a resolution and we're sorry your so disappointed.
